About our Parents
The health and Happiness of our dogs is important to us!
The health of our parents is important to us. As such, we make it a priority to have our dogs up to date on all their vet checks and vaccinations. Additionally, we ensure that they are combed/groomed, and well maintained.
In addition to quality health, we strive to give our parents quality lives. We believe that our mamas and father should have the freedom to stretch their legs and play outside in the sunshine. Therefore, they are given ample room to run and explore while remaining safe and protected.
It is our firm belief that happy and healthy parents, lead to happy and healthy pups!
All of our parents are AKC registered in their respective breeds.
About Us
Perched above the rolling hills and canyon walls of the Yakima Valley, Leanne McDougall resides with her family and furry four-legged companions. Often noted as "The Palm Springs of Washington", the Yakima Valley can appear as an oasis amid the surrounding desert land and a respite from the heated summers and dreary winters.
Similar to the landscape one which Leanne has lived her whole life, Leanne's mission is to create a respite for those who may find themselves in a desert.
Besides her faith, one of the great joys in Leanne's life, during her trying and difficult times, was the companionship of her poodle. Because he was hypoallergenic, she was able to hold him close, without risking her allergies. The playful and calm disposition of her poodle brought many laughs to and otherwise humorless season, and warmed her heart.
Now, Leanne's hope is to share that love to others with her doodles. Whether that be to a family looking for a playful bundle of joy, or an individual looking for a loving companion, her desire is that each person ends up with the puppy that is right for them and that each puppy ends up with it's own life-long friend.
FAQs
Q: What is a F1 Doodle?
A: A F1 Doodle is the first generation of a cross between a purebred Poodle and a purebred non-poodle breed.
Q: Do F1 doodles shed?
A: F1 doodles typically do not shed (or very light shedders), which makes them a great hypoallergenic choice for those with allergies.
Q: Are the parents AKC registered?
A: Yes, all of our parent dogs are AKC registered.
Q: Do they get Vet checks?
A: Absolutely! All of our puppies receive a full vet check-up before they are placed in their new homes. We make sure that all of our puppies are healthy and up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations.
Q: What sort of care does an F1 doodle need?
A: As with any pet, an F1 doodle will require regular brushing, bathing, nail trims, and dental care. They will also need regular exercise and playtime, as well as a healthy diet appropriate for their size and age. Because they do not typically shed, they will need to be groomed.
Q: How big will a standard goldendoodle be?
A: A standard goldendoodle can range in size from medium to large. Generally, a standard goldendoodle will weigh between 40 and 65 pounds and stand between 20 and 24 inches tall.
